I don?t know how old you are, but I am well past retirement age. I have experienced cataract surgery on both eyes, have glaucoma and even had a heart attack. So you see I am not at my peak of physical condition or age ? to say the least. One day I decided to learn Spanish. I did not think that I was too old to learn new things. I bought myself the Pimsleur 8 lesson Introductory Audio Course. After the very first lesson I was interacting with native speakers and saying simple phrases and words. I was speaking Spanish. I was speaking a new language. It wasn?t hard at all. I figured I could really learn this language rapidly. What a great way to learn a language. So the next step for me was to buy the Pimsleur Comprehensive I, Comprehensive II, and the Comprehensive III, and the Plus Courses. At the present time I have completed the I, and II Courses and am just starting the III. I know with what I have learned I could get myself around Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, or some other Latin American country ? that is if they spoke slowly and not at their regular rapid rate. This would give me some time to think. But I really could navigate myself around a city or a country with some confidence. My personal success with this new language has been very exciting for me. And this with just 60 lessons under my belt. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length. In fact, due to my excitement I decided to buy myself a PDQ Linguaphone Course which I have just completed. I did this to see the differences between the two courses. I enjoyed having a new presentation and learning additional words and phrases. Now I have purchased a Linguaphone All Talk 16 hour Spanish Course. It has even more vocabulary than the Pimsleur Comprehensive Courses and will be a great addition. I am getting to the point that I understand a lot more when I hear someone speaking Spanish. I can turn on a Spanish TV program and follow a lot of what is being said. I know that it is going to take
