GENERIC CONDUIT AND GUI FOR PALM To transfer data from a Palm OS device to/from a PC, a conduit needs to be written. 'Generic Conduit and GUI for Palm' lets you specify the format of a Palm application's data on xml and transfers the data for you. It stores the data on xml format as well. Equipped with your data on xml format, you can select between a multitude of ways of presenting your data. 'Generic Conduit and GUI for Palm' comes with examples on how to make a user interface for four of the built-in Palm OS applications, 'address book', 'calendar', 'to do list' and 'Memo'. Palm Desktop from Palm Inc., lets you extend its user interface. The extension is presented as an html document in an embedded internet explorer. 'Generic Conduit and GUI for Palm' comes with an ActiveX object that lets you interface the Palm Desktop from the html document. You can concentrate on making the user interface using any of the technologies supported by internet explorer, i.e. html, javascript, xml, xsl, etc. If you are developing programs for Palm OS you might want to consider using 'Generic Conduit and GUI for Palm' to transfer data from your application to PC. Once you have paid the license for your application creator id, you are entitled to distribute 'Generic Conduit and GUI for Palm'.
