Sysax Multi Server is a secure file transfer server for Windows. A single install serves SFTP (SSH2), FTPS, plain FTP and browser-based HTTPS file transfer at the same time, so partners and staff can connect with whatever client they already have, including a web browser with nothing to install. It also provides secure shell access with port forwarding. Users sign in with accounts managed inside the server, local Windows accounts, or Active Directory/LDAP. SSH public keys, Cisco Duo multi-factor authentication, RADIUS two-factor authentication and an external ODBC user database are supported. Each account gets its own home folder and permissions. Security controls include disabling outdated SSL/TLS versions and weak ciphers, certificate signing requests and self-signed certificates, access restriction by IP address or hostname, automatic blocking after repeated login failures, a FIPS 140-2 mode, and detailed logging of all server activity with rollover. The server can be configured to meet HIPAA, PCI-DSS and GDPR data-access requirements. The server runs as a Windows service and starts with the system. It can be administered from the local control panel, remotely from any web browser, or through a scriptable administration API. Server-side triggers run actions such as OpenPGP encryption or email notification when a file arrives or a user logs in. A High Availability edition adds clustering and failover. The download includes a 30-day trial of the Enterprise edition features. Commercial licenses are a one-time purchase that includes a year of updates and support, and a free Personal edition is available for non-commercial use.
