bcAuthenticate enables the webmaster to control user access to an IIS web server individually by enabling the possibilities of assigning separate userid/passwords to individual website visitors without the need to change Windows Account settings or directory permissions for individual users. These individual userid/password pairs are mapped to valid Windows Accounts by the filter and authenticated by IIS. The userid/password pairs are kept in a database of your choice. You specify the SQL statement that bcAuthenticate should use to retrieve the mapped Windows logon name and password.
bcAuthenticate has an Administration GUI where you can set various options. bcAuthenticate comes as a Windows Installer. Once installed, it expands into the admin GUI, Filter DLL and the help system.
