Log This! is a free application that is designed to defeat keyloggers. A keylogger is a piece of malicious software that records everything you type on your keyboard in order that your keystrokes can be read by a third party. For example, a virus or trojan horse program may secretly install a keylogger on your PC without your knowledge, allowing hackers to obtain your passwords and other confidential details. Log This! can disable keyloggers by stopping them from picking up your keystrokes, and it can also confuse and overwhelm a keylogger by injecting a number of fake, random keystrokes into the keyboard buffer for every real key you press - these fake keys are picked up by the keylogger on your system, but not by the application. It should work with just about any Windows application, for example you can run Log This! when you use your web browser to stop anyone capturing your password, or even when typing a letter into Word or Notepad. Log This! has been tested against the KGB keylogger, the Revealer keylogger and the Home keylogger and can block them all.
